Six of us Hunted with Luke ,Rocky and Sarah over the Easter weekend. It was absolutely TopNotch service. Accommodations were great, nice n clean beds shower ,kitchen n bath.very nice! These guys all went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everyone was taken care of. We all shot hogs . Some of us got to chase em down ,hit the brakes ,jump out n shoot. I’m still shaking ,lol it was so cool . Not what I expected! Had a great time! Couldn’t ask for more. I even booked next year with the same group. Great service. Creating Great memories !

Schmidt Guides is amazing. They under promise and over deliver on everything from the booking, to lodging, and hunting. Sarah was so helpful getting us ready for the hunt and working with our schedules. Luke is an amazing guide, he had us on pigs all day, including two amazing spot and stalks to within 50 yards. The house and bar were a great place to hang out and we will definitely be coming back. Overall just an awesome experience from start to finish.

I called Sara at Schmidt Guide Services, LLC. She was very professional, courteous, informative, and responsive.
She met me at the lodge and was very helpful. After handling the administrative duties, she updated on my guide, Rocky, and what time he would arrive to meet me.
The next day Rocky picked me up. After a short drive to the ranch, we geared up and headed out to the hunt.
Rocky was on point with everything. Aside from getting me on my pig, he assisted in every facet of my hunt.

We would like to thank Sarah, Luke, Rocky and the mighty Beans! This was the first hunting trip for each of us in our group. Sarah is a great point person and clearly provided details from booking to the processing of the game. Our trip was in November 2022.

The cabin was clean and warm and ready for our arrival; it was a fully stocked location which was great as we had food to heat up for meals. No need to bring utensils to cook in and a coffee maker was there for the early morning. The backyard is nice and roomy, perfect for cigars and bourbon fireside after dinner each night. The cabin is perfect for 4 and easily accommodates 8.

Luke and Rocky picked us up as scheduled and we were on location and on the side-by-sides looking for hogs by 6 am. We had 3 hogs by 9:30 am and we had the last hog by 11:30 am. The hogs were all skinned, quartered and in the walk-in fridge by 1:30 pm.

Our group wanted to learn as much as possible. Luke and Rocky showed and let each of us field dress the respective hogs. Back at the cabin, many learned and skinned their own hogs.

Sarah is very professional with all the communication; Luke and Rocky very knowledgable of the areas we were hunting in and very patient with us beginners. I was in the side-by-side with Beans and he keyed-in when hogs were nearby! Beans was instrumental in finding my hog as the morning was drawing later and hogs were starting to bed down.

Would I recommend Schmidt Guide Service? YES!!!
Would our group return in 2023? YES!!! We are ready to book again!!!

We’ve been hunting with Schmidt Guide Service for several years now and highly recommend it. Sarah and her team are terrific. Luke has been our guide. My son, justifiably, thinks the world of him. Luke makes the hunts productive and fun. The house is very comfortable and perfect for hunters. Our trip to King City and pig hunt has become an annual event. We hope to do it as long as we’re able. You shouldn’t hesitate to book.

I have never seen a guide put so much effort to get me on a hog. You’re the man Rocky! The house was very clean and accommodations were top notch. I am absolutely coming back again next year. Hands down the best outfitter I have ever been to. Thank you for an incredible hunting experience! A+++

First time hunting with Schmidt and it was a fantastic experience, all around.

• Booking: Sarah got us set up with a reservation in no time and helped us out with the questions we had about what to expect.
• The Hunt: Luke had an impressive eye for hogs, spotting an ear and snout of a hog sticking out from behind a clump of sage at 530 yards. Then another 660 yards out mostly hidden by a rock. A short stalk later, we had two boars down.
• The Lodge: Awesome spot to come back to after the hunt. It has everything you need to whip up a meal for the group and if cooking isn’t your thing, is a very short drive to local digs.
  Overall, had a blast and will certainly be back!
