WHAT TO EXPECT

Phase 1

Call to check availability and book your hunt: 831.809.8843. A $300 non-refundable deposit per hunter is required to reserve your date. You have 2 weeks to get your deposits in. Or the date will be opened back up for others. Deposits can be paid by check or Venmo. The rest of the payment will be due in cash at the end of your hunt. 

  • Make check payable to: Schmidt Guide Service LLC.
  • In the memo area put the date of your hunt.

Phase 2

Hunters arrive at the lodge any time after 12pm the day prior to their scheduled hunt.  1 hour prior to arrival we require a phone call notification to unlock and finalize the lodge for arrival.

Phase 3

Upon arrival we require all hunters to fill out logbook and release of liability form

Phase 4

HUNTING DAY

  • Please be ready to depart from the lodge on time.
    • Bring a packed lunch.
    • Rifle must be sighted in.
    • Ammunition must be lead free.
    • No smoking or alcohol is permitted on the hunt
  • Hunters are required to trail the outfitters out to the property in their own vehicles where they will be parked safely. Hunters will then join the outfitters in off road side by sides for the hunt. (Honda Pioneers)
  • Hunters are expected to keep their talking/voices to a minimum during the hunt.
  • Hunters are required to follow their guides instructions at all times!
  • Our guides will field dress pigs as they are killed and skin the hog when they return to our facility in King City. Hogs will be hung in our walk-in cooler overnight and quartered to fit in your ice chest. (100 qt ice chest is recommended)
  • Most hunters make arrangements with a butcher in their hometown prior to their hunt. To have their pig processed.
  • The remainder of the payment is due in cash at the end of the hunt when guides finish skinning and hanging pigs in walk-in cooler. If Sarah is unavailable for the final installment please make the final payment to your guides.

*We urge all hunters to tip their guides.

Phase 5

Check-Out Time: 12pm
Please double check the lodge for all your belongings and discard any trash into the trash bins. We hope you had a fantastic experience.
